Jeweler, Certified Gemologist, Artist, Metalworker

ALYSIA ROBERTS

How long have you been making jewelry?

I've been making jewelry most of my life. While attending college I took my first small metals class then continued my education by becoming a bench jeweler with Sterling Jewelers where I trained to become a custom jeweler. I've been a freelance jeweler for about ten years now creating my own everyday and special occasion designs.

I love working with many different metals including Sterling Silver, Gold, Platinum, and  Bronze. I also love gemstones. I prefer to work with all natural stones and seek them out constantly to incorporate them into my designs.

What are your favorite materials to work with?

If I have a jewelry idea can you make it for me?

Of course! I'm happy to help your ideas come to life! When I work with clients on custom projects they usually send pictures of things they like to give an idea of  what they're looking for.

Gemstones absolutely work for engagement rings! In fact, alternative engagement rings are gaining popularity. They allow you to really express your individuality when a traditional ring won't work.

Will gemstones work as engagement stones?

Any advice for new clients?

My one-of-a-kind handmade pieces are just that, one-of-a-kind and handmade, I make the jewelry to order and it may very slightly from the original photograph on the website, but that just ensures you receive an original and unique piece of jewelry! Communication is key when it comes to custom work, I want to create a piece you love while maintaining my design integrity.

Do you offer returns?

Unfortunately because of the custom process returns are not possible.

Where else can I find your work?

Currently you can find me at various shows in Chicago, which I will keep you posted about on my Facebook page. I'm also in the process of getting my work in retail stores so keep a look out for that.

I love hearing from you! Lets start creating your dream jewelry today!

How do I get started?

Most of my pieces are made to order, so please allow time for the creation process to happen. Most orders should ship within a week and a half, although if you view my collection page some pieces are already made and will ship within a few days. Local pick up may also be available. Custom orders will take longer and that will be determined when we discuss the design process.
